Volunteer at Contra Costa Food Bank on a Weeknight: UNHOSTED

So sorry but my allergies are really bad and I have a nasty headache so I need to make tonight unhosted.  Dave is the Food Bank's volunteer organizer.  He is very nice and will show you what to do.  I suggest meeting inside the door and signing in.  I would ask that someone who has been there before kind of be the group's spoke's person.  You are under no obligation.

Thanks,

Carol

PLEASE GATHER AT THE VOLUNTEER ENTRANCE ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING WHERE THE TRUCK DOCK IS LOCATED.  DAN WILL BE WORKING WITH THE GROUP.  YOU WLL BE SORTING AND BOXING FOOD TO GET IT READY FOR DISTRIBUTION FOR THOSE IN NEED.  PLEASE DRESS COMFORTABLY AND WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES; TENNIS SHOES WORK WELL.

Every day, thousands of people in our community struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs. You can make a difference right now.

Because you are so generous, we can maximize and multiply your gifts of food, money and time. In our hands, a one dollar gift turns into two meals for children, adults or seniors.

With your help, the Food Bank is leading the fight against hunger. Your help can bring immediate relief and hope to a family or individual who is suffering from hunger. The Food Bank has many giving options to meet the interests of our community of supporters.

Without the help of our partners and supporters like you, the work of the Food Bank would not be possible.

Let's give back to those in need and help at the Contra Costa Food Bank.

Wish I could go to this. It's a great place. Just up the street from me. Will try to attend another time.

Pamela, I had to cancel this, because I’ve forgotten about that I had a online ticket for Film ‘Mamma Mia!’ - at 7:30pm Venue: California Theatre. I hope to see you next opportunity. I’m not much of conversational type. -Lisa

This is really fun. I see some people who have done this before so you know they enjoyed it. I also see some new face. Great looking forward to meeting you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
