This is a group for anyone that loves to play Texas hold 'em (no limit and pot limit) and possibly Omaha and lives in the East Bay We'll 'tour' different cities when we can and play mostly cash games, but some tournaments as well. (Minimum age to play is 21. Always bring your driver's license as you'll need it to play.*And there will never be a rake!) The first meeting will be Friday March 22nd 7:30pm in Berkeley (the location to be emailed to participants).

The buy-in will depend upon the group's eventual consensus. I have played $20 buy-in's and $40 buy-in's. I like $40 buy-in's but I'm open to reducing it if most people want a $20 buy-in instead. We'll probably meet once a month, but if there are enough people interested in playing twice a month, then we can set that up as well.

This group is for people that either already play poker and really enjoy it, or people who know the basic game and are enthusiastic about learning more (if you are in the latter category, you may be able to shadow another player like myself, if they are open to it.) A critical aspect of the group will be a good vibe. If you don't react well to wins or losses, then this group is not for you. Going on tilt and being rude will not be tolerated. This group is about having fun and relaxing (or having some thrills) with this great game and with some great people. Let me know if this sounds good to you.
