What genres of books do you enjoy reading?

My favorite genre is the kind of fantasy that involves a "normal" person discovering that there is secretly magic in the world. I've been trying to figure out if this subgenre has a name. I also love a lot of European classic literature (particularly with queer text or subtext), magic realism, some fantasy classic, young adult novels, comic of age stories, memoirs/biographies of theater folks and other artists, and, of course, comic books.

What do you hope to get out of this group?

I'm looking forward to broader book recommendations and meeting new folks to nerd out about reading with.

I'm Juliette, a 20-something East Bay queer woman. I'm a part time returning student, a full time comic book nerd, and a lifelong reader.
