Monthly Potluck with Tips & Tricks

Let's together for dinner, a tips and tricks demo, show and tell, and work on our individual projects.  This month's tips and tricks segment will be by Pati Fried on using "Big Stitch" to quilt your quilts.  What is Big Stitch? It is hand quilting with an attitude! Take hand quilting to a whole new level with colorful threads, big needles and a bit of doodling.  Big Stitch can add texture, whimsy or even a folk art feel to your quilts.

Please bring a potluck dish to share and to keep things "green," a plate, utensils, and a cup. The United Methodist church is right at the corner of Marin Street and Stannage Avenue in Albany. Entrance to the MeetUp is on Stannage Avenue through the wooden gate. If you are a member of East Bay Heritage Quilters there is no fee to attend. The fee for non-members is $5.

If there is something you want to learn or a topic you want to see covered in a tips and tricks demonstration, please let me know.

We'll see if my GF will come with me. I sat with Pati and tried the "Big Stich" praxis at the quilt show earlier this year. The improvisational style suits me, but I'm all about Machine Quilting at this stage of my artistic development. "Get The Damn Quilt DONE" is my mantra ;-)
