The Incubator II (formerly Meet & Critique)

This meeting has been renamed to reflect the shift in its purpose that happened this year. Usually a smaller setting, this meeting is perfect for first-timers or shy members testing the waters. The format allows for lots of discussion and support, valuable for old hands and new writers alike. Title suggestions not reminiscent of alien egg experiments welcome! :)

This month The Incubator presents new voices Tim Hofesth and Marc Rokoff! Come show them your support! If you'd like to get on the critique queue for next month, email Beth.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the fantastic feedback! It was an amazing experience. The 'hot seat' turned out to be not so scary after all.

Hey Beth, thanks for the mention! I'm looking forward to the meeting. I want to throw it out there that I'm new to writing sci-fi short stories (and to sharing them) but I'm not a novice writer. Also, I've done a great deal of critique in the past. I'm definitely more comfortable with 8-10 people as opposed to 25, which is why this is a great fit. However, although I love the new 'incubator' name, I don't want people to feel they will have to pull any punches if they sign up. I know I can only get stronger as a writer with brutally honest feedback, no matter how intense it may be! So bring it on everyone! :-)

Thanks for submitting! By "new voice" I meant your writing is new to our forum. You are clearly a skilled reviewer and no stranger to the medium. While we encourage respectful, constructive criticism, EBSFFW isn't about ego-stroking. Everyone, please do give honest feedback!
