What kind of project are you working on?

currently i'm writing a "sci fi lite" novel. it was critiqued in a novel writing class at ucla extension last year, very helpful, but no one in the class was a science fiction writer. so here i am. also i'm revising stories and articles with an eye toward submission.

What are you reading right now?

1. Doris Lessing, "The Grass Is Singing," her first novel. 2. Abraham Verghese, "Cutting for Stone." 3. A frightening backlog of unread New Yorkers, mainly for the short stories, medical, and climate-warming articles in them.

Who's your favorite SFF author?

James T. Tiptree, Jr.

i have recently moved back up to the bay area from santa monica and am looking for a writing critique group. i'm a professional editor, mainly of doctoral dissertations, and am mildly published but never a science fiction piece.
