I'm working on a "grounded" sci-fi novel based loosely on the vampire myth. I have written half a screenplay, realized I wasn't where I needed to be at halfway, and have put the story back in my head for revisions. I have a number of other projects floating around in my mind that still need further definition.
I recently finished The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest after having read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl who Played with Fire. The translated version of the books are very similar to the style that I use to write. I finished reading two Kurt Vonegut stories late 2010-early 2011...Slaughterhouse Five and Breakfast of Champions. SH5 was decent, although I was a little disappointed with the ending. BoC was a complete disappointment.
J. Michael Straczynski - Babylon 5, Darin Morgan - X Files (Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Jose Chung's From Outer Space), Michael Taylor - Deep Space Nine (The Visitor)
Hi, I'm Kara. I've taken 2 screen writing classes through Jennifer Van Sijll. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi (I'm very disappointed that Stargate: Universe went off the air...it was the best show on TV) and love to write.
