  • Albany, CA TBA once registered

(Please note: to come to this course, contact the organizer, you will be asked to bring items + the address will be given at the time of registration...it MAT NOT be at 1501 Washington Ave in Albany)

The main focus of this 3-hour class is to equip people with the fundamentals of the Pachakuti Mesa. In this class you will set up a basic mesa and begin working with it. Emphasis is on the 5 directions and how these each represents an aspect of the self. This expanded basics workshop also covers an introduction to the three worlds, a brief introduction to the lineage, and the setting up, activating and using of your newly created mesa. You will need to bring a mesa cloth, a stone, shell, feather, candle and a personal power piece to represent each of the 5 directions. The workshop is “hands-on,” allowing students to set up and work with their mesas while under the tutelage of an elder in the tradition. There will be a full mesa, set up by the teacher that will be worked/utilized during the workshop for students to experience. It is recommended to have Matthew Magee’s book on hand as well. (this book available for purchase by the instructor)

This mesa basics class is taught by Jnana Gowan, graudate of the Pachkuti Mesa Tradition Aprrentcieship Program. In this 3-hour course you will create a mesa for your own personal healing and planetary alignment. Don Oscar Miro-Quesada originated the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Cross Cultural Shamanism (PMT) from hislife long studies of two Andean mesa traditions, and his own vast expereince with the natural world. The Pachakuti Mesa (PMT) may create a solid foundation for any practice already in place...or be the seed to a new way of being. Join us.
