Why start this group? I love to meet other women who enjoy good conversation, boardgames, reading, movies, lectures, shows, trying new restaurants, Zumba, and/or hiking, and who find themselves in the evening or occasional weekend with kids who've moved on, and not wanting to settle after work watching TV by themselves. I happen to have a great relationship & great job, but husband travels much of month, and kids have moved on.

Purpose of group: Meet other women who enjoy good conversation about politics (liberal leaning, please), books, travel, Scrabble, social trends, shared issues dealing with elderly parents or other relatives with difficult issues, or even a great buy at Nordstrom, whether to let our hair grow out grey and stop fussing, (or any of above), just not only about our kids or TV shows. Thinking about starting out with planned activities weekday evenings once a month and then going from there....

Who should join? Other women for whom an evening of good conversation rivals the best vacation you've ever taken.
