Moving to Salt Lake City is a huge change for many of us, and some would say it involves major culture shock! Whether you’re from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, or the South, join us! It’s easier to integrate and make new friends when you already have something in common!

This city and the surrounding areas have so much to offer, so whether you’re from the East Coast or just love it, come commiserate and celebrate the differences between East and West. And maybe, just maybe we'll discover the most authentic cheese steak, New York bagel, or perfect slice of pizza together!

As much as I hate to post this, we've had a high number of no shows and late cancels recently, so...

**Attendance Policy**

Respect and courtesy are important – we are East Coasters after all – etiquette is a big deal to many…

Events require effort for organizers to coordinate, especially those requiring reservations. We understand that things come up and life interferes from time to time, but not all the time.  Please do your best to keep your RSVPs updated in a timely manner. As a general rule, please don’t RSVP yes unless you know you are able to attend and you are committed to being there.

Please don’t be a:

No-show – you RSVP “yes” and then don’t show up or you change your RSVP to “no” within a couple hours of the event start time without communicating with the event host; or a

Late cancel – you RSVP “yes” and cancel within 24 hours of the event.

If you realize that you can't make it to something you've signed up for, please change your RSVP as soon as possible, or message/email an organizer/event host if it is within a few hours of the event. Reservations may need to be adjusted and people on the wait lists need to be notified.  Some group members make a decision to attend or not depending on the size of the group and/or the length of wait lists. And for those on the wait lists, less than 24 hours notice is not adequate much of the time.

No Show/Late Cancel policy: If you have a history of being a no show or late cancel, out of respect and courtesy to others that do show up, we may bump you to the wait list for meetups with limited space in favor of those with a positive attendance history. If you make a habit out of no-showing or late-cancelling, we will remove you from the group. Three strikes and you’re out…

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
