  • Star of India is the world's oldest fully operational vessel of any kind. She was built in 1863 at Ramsay, Isle of Man in the Irish sea. She hasn't set sail for over 3 years, so this is a very rare opportunity.

Star of India will be sailing to commemorate her 150th birthday on November 9, 10, and 11. You have the opportunity to sail alongside this historical icon on another historic vessel. The sailing yacht JADA was built in 1938 here in California, and recently celebrated her 75th birthday. JADA is the only truly classic sailing yacht doing charters in San Diego. We'll be out approximately 3.5 hours. While underway you'll enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks. Feel free to bring along a full picnic lunch if you like.

We’ll have a licensed captain and crew aboard. A tip for the crew is appreciated, if you think they did a great job.

The cost for East County Heathens is only $65 per person (1/2 the Maritime Museum price of $130), payable on our website with PayPal. After you RSVP please pay right away. To pay click here, then scroll down and click on “purchase”, this takes you to PayPal, enter the amount, click “update total” and down at the bottom click “continue”, then follow the instructions.  Be sure to leave your 'meetup name' in a comment if different from your PayPal name so we can identify you.  Print and bring your PayPal receipt to the boat.

Please wear flat or boat-type shoes with closed toes, and bring a jacket. BE EARLY. The boat leaves the dock precisely at 11:00 with or without you.

Boat location: JADA is the first boat on the dock at the Sheraton. The marina is directly behind the hotel. Note: This is the FIRST, not the second Sheraton on Harbor Island! The Sheraton is located across from the airport. When you turn onto Harbor Island Drive from North Harbor Drive, the Sheraton is almost immediately on your right. Pull into the main entrance to the Hotel, take an immediate right into the parking lot and follow the road toward the back/marina side of the hotel. The road will curve left past some tennis courts before ending in a turn around. Park as close as you can to the turn around and then follow the pathway at the back of the hotel to the marina entrance. Parking: The Sheraton charges for parking. We provide a validation that reduces the price to $8 per car. There is also free street parking within a few blocks on Harbor Island, or at Spanish Landing.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
