Grew up Catholic but had my first WTF experience when I was about 12 and was taught the doctrine of Transubstantiation. Still had to attend Mass until I left home at 18 - was in the military (still attended Mass as a way to put some familiarity back into my life but didn't believe any of the doctrine). After Basic Training, I never returned to a Mass (save wedding & funeral Masses). Didn't truly identify as Atheist (or truly understand the term as a viable identity) until I was about 19.
I dabble in various CoR events/groups. I'm also a Humanist/Unitarian.
Cooking, gardening, camping, reading, Sci-Fi, Adult Swim, Doctor Who.
My schedule is erratic and I like to have various sources of social opportunities so if I end up with a free moment, I can join in.
Social, social justice, community building, community service.
I'm just your run of the mill, mainstream, vegetarian, Atheist, Queer, far left liberal progressive.
