I met really passionate people the other day at the Aviation Meet-Up and was very impressed with everyone!

Phil Yoon had great experiences to share starting with his primary residence is a home along a private airstrip. That is pretty impressive by itself! He also flew helicopters in the military, has a business at Gillespie Field, and he flys so often he has made an open invitation to anyone that wants to go up, you can with him just let him know. Phil's email is [address removed].

Phil also made an open invitation to anyone to attend the Gillespie Pilot's association who's next meeting is on Saturday, February 7, 2008 at the Gillespie Field Administration Building, 1960 Joe Crosson Drive, El Cajon, CA 92020. Refreshments are provided, and meetings usually last about an hour (though hangar talk can go on indefinitely after!).

Here is more information on the Gillespie Pilot's Association http://www.gillespiepilots.org/about_gpa.htm (turns out Phil founded the association!)

Our next meetup is on February 24th at 7:15pm to 8:15pm. It will feature Golden State Flying Club owner Richard Essery. Richard has flown across the pacific, he has flown around the circumference of Africa. and we will find out what else he has done at the meetup! Richard is passionate about aviation, the more I learn about Richard he just doesn't put one foot in he jumps in. I am going to bring in some extra lighting and video tape this meeting so if you miss it in person you don't totally miss out, although it is better in person.

Let everyone know if you are a Yes, Maybe, or No for the next meetup! Click the link below:
