Let's see what you've got, writers!

We would like to create a group of active participants who are interested in finding their voice in the written word, their visual creations of art, their dramatic impulse in screenwriting, and provide a venue for doing so. The event will be scheduled to take place at my residence, which should hold about 15 people, to start.

TV series, a great idea. Many of the most successful were written by groups of writers.
Perhaps one about lives changed, good/bad/funny, by watching reality shows, with Barry showing up somewhere in the denouement.
Today I'm leaving for San Francisco for 8 days. Sorry I have to miss all the fun!! :)

How interesting was the tempo---a storyteller of Native Canadian tales to my left and an introspective philosopher to my right! And the Black Cat that knows his real name----Hell! Honey Boo Boo look out! I think we may have what it takes to create a great comedy series about serious writers posing as East Canadians...

Something that will entertain a couple of million viewers for aboot a half hour a week is what we should shoot for. Our X or Y market? So how many aspiring writers are there in the U.S. and Canada? We gotta keep these dedicated stay-at-home moms and their best friends' deadbeat dads-----and the girl with the hottest tattoos in my neighborhood satisfied. Not knowing what to expect from me or any one of us. I don't know the Canadian national anthem but Hell! Most Americans don't know ours either.

Also, I see Honey Boo Boo as symbolic. Our HBB is obvious. Just as TLC uses a small curly blonde-headed child to attract a significant viewership Hell! our own healthy one--The Black Cat---rescued from harm will secure the type of loyal followership we are looking for...

Very interesting. You are a daunting group for a, not so young, newbie to sit down with. Sent each attendee the same proposal suggesting a fun type collaborative work. Speak out, as though any one of you would not.

This is something along the lines I was thinking. Collaboration projects are fun and teach us as creative types, a lot.

Not excessively hellish at all. People get the opportunity to give their best advice and support to other writers.

Thank you. I've really been turned all around by my brother's latest hardships. He has Down's Syndrome which makes communication very difficult and the attacks happen rapidly out of nowhere. I'll pay closer attention to the schedule from now on, but highly value your writing skills and critique.

I am very sorry for not being able to attend on the 12th. My brother, Mark, has been in and out of the emergency room with what is called Vasolvagal which is a fancy method of fainting and requires my constant attention. Hope to see all of you on the 19th.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
