The Social get together before the fun and games begin.
A chance to mingle with friends in other games. Chat with friends, meet new people, and old mates alike.
Even talk non-gaming stuff 
Time for food and possibly drink. Time to pore over manuals, roll up or fine tune your characters. Then into the fray.
Come early, get some good wholesome food inside you, and maybe a pint (or two) of one (or two) of the Brunswick's famous 'brewed right on the premises' beers down your neck, and meet the rest of the crowd.
We only have the boardroom this time, so games will need some communication before they are posted.

sorrrry guys, I know i promised i would be coming, but i now have to work sunday which means everything i was gonna go has to be done saturday, which wont leave me time to get to Derby...hope u have a good one though, maybe make it to the dec one
just to remind anyone viewing the calendar for Big Meetup-there will be at least one other 'reserve' game waiting in the wings available if all other games are a tad full, so please don't put off coming- you will get a game [afternoon session]. just ask when you get there.
I'll only stay for the afternoon game, to which I've signed up.
Well I'm not scheduled for something specific in the afternoon, though I am in the evening game. I figure I can just dive in where there's a space, or bring something along in case there's a need to run summat small. Howzzat?
I expect to be there for the afternoon session..........will join a free slot or can run a game if there is demand. I will bring something along as a 'reserve' just in case.
Just noticing that we have 17 members RSVP's to the meet itself but only 12 RSVP'd for an afternoon game, and 11 for the evening.
Could those not yet RSVP'd try and let us know what the intend to play. You do not need to RSVP to an even, just let us know on a comment here what you are thinking about.
We just need to see if a 4th game in the afternoon and 3rd game in the evening is needed.
