First of an apology to anyone who has stumbled here excited about a new game based on the Scales of War adventure path, as unfortunatly there are no spaces.

This is a discussion thread for members of 'The Hidden Hand' group about the up coming adventure we will be moving on to when we take a break.

However if an admin is here i would like to request that the About page for this adventure be posted on the main list.

To clarify waht you need to do for this adventure please see the following list;

1. Ignor this step. :D

2. Please produce a '10-Minute Background' for your character, this will aid me to tie-in your character to the story.

3. Post/e-mail your chracters to me in a shorthand form, either the output from the Character Builder or a summary detailing race, class, attributes, feats and starting powers. Note that your character can pick a SoW Background if you wish, please detail this aswell.

4. Make a wish-list of magical items that would compliment your character. Pick a smattering of items between levels 1-10 will do fine to start with.

NOTE: Re: Class selection - After giving it a bit of thought i've decided that i'm only going to allow the following selections for this game;

• Classes - Only those that have been published in a WotC publication and are NOT deemed as play test.
  
• Race - I'm happy for any race to be chosen.
  
• Powers,feats, etc. - I'm happy for anyone to use powers that appear in any WotC publication, however i reserve the right to request you to switch if a certain power or feat from the DDI magazine are deemed overpowered or nerf worthy.

Definitely going to do up a wizard.. not sure of the race yet .. either Eladrin (so I can use a longsword as if it was a wand of accuracy)... or the human one we already discussed...

Ok Jimmy will read thr guide which have downloaded when get a chance, and will do the background for my chracter too, at the moment thinking on a few classes, still got some reading to do before making a decision.
But will get it posted here for you shortly.

I would also like to point out that character may choose one background from the Scales of War choices that are in the character builder/ Dragon #366.

For those that don't have access to either resources please let me know and i will send them a list.

These background could furthur support the above background generation.

Ok Jimmy here is brief outline for my character, can you let me know as soon as if i can have the Necromancer/Rogue

Name: Darkwist Human Age about 22

Can I take the Apprentice of the Sinister Cabal (Cabal name is "CABAL OF THE DARK MASTERS"), (tied to my character) from the SOW background guide, the following 10mins background has been tied up to this:-
Step1 Background:
1. Darkwist has a pure hatred for all undead creatures, in particular Liches and Lichelords.
2. Still has contact and friends within the Cabal of the Dark Masters, but he has left to follow his quest and found a Cabal of the Undead destroyers which will be his legacy.
3. Darkwist is very outgoing, friendly and charasmatic and willing to always help friends, but also has a sneaky side of himself when it comes to sorcery and wizardry.
4. Darkwist is very goal driven to pursue his life quest of destroying all undead he encounters.

Step2 Goals:
1. Darkwist will seek to found the Cabal of the Undead Destroyers.
2. Darkwist wants his name and power to be known throughout the world of the undead and be feared by those.

Step3 Secrets:
1. Darkwist was a member of the secret Cabal of the Dark Masters.
2. Darkwist has many allies in the Cabal of the Dark Masters who want him to take control, but he is not necessarily aware of this.

Step4 People tied to the character:
1. Would like to have one of party members as his travelling companion at DM's discretion?
2. Zyonmar is Darkwist's closest friend and ally within the Cabal of the Dark Masters who is working to rally support for Darkwist.
3. Vorvavel is the current leader of the Cabal of the Dark Masters, is sworn enemy of Darkwist because he wants to use the Cabal to use their power for evil means.

Step5 Memories:
1. Darkwist remembers clearly his parents being slain by undead attackers which has made him into the Undead Hunter he is today.
2. Darkwist remembers the feeling of power and revenge when he killed his first undead skeleton attacker.
3. Darkwist also recalls comments from Vorvavel that the only power worth having is evil power, this infuriates him and goes against his beliefs.

Magical items in order of preference:-
1. +1 Flaming Shortsword
2. +1 Orb of Sanguinary Repurcusions
3. Amulet of Protection
