Sean,

L are you double booked for 2ed sat of feb??

The forthcoming February meetup is a "special Deathmatch" meetup. This event runs all day.

I am offering a "one off" for those who are not interested in Deathmatch (and/or 4e too possibly).
This one-off is also planned to last for the whole day.

I see you have registered with the Deathmatch event already.

I have limited the number of players to attempt to run the adventure in one go, and also not to appear to be competing with the big Deathmatch event.

The "Hollow's Chronicles" game will resume in March, at its usual evening session as I expect to be playing the end of John's Middle-Earth game during that afternoon.

Sean,

As mentioned on the event, we will play with pre-gens, and most of the "Pathfinder-is-different" thingy has to do with character generation. The slight changes in game mechanics will be explained when needed.

Please have a look at the "official" thread, I would like you to choose a character before hand. One Fighter and the Paladin are already taken. As you will see, I have tried to highlight the new things by providing links to the rules on the Paizo website. As a bonus I have also given links to the official back-stories of the iconic characters.

Drop all your questions, PC choice and other comments on the game thread:
http://www.eastmidlan...
Please update your RSVP if you are interested in joining John and Simon and have a delve into the Crypt of the Ever-Flame.

Reading the thread should also enlighten you about all the fuss related to "degrees" on the event page itself. smile

Laurent,

After a hiatus of two months, "The Hollow's Chronicles" return on the evening of the March Big Meetup.

The core players are invited to RSVP.

I will have a look at the pile of character sheets I have at home and post the current list of the intrepid adventurers who are trodding the dark and damp recess under the old Dwarven monastery.

Laurent,

Hi Laurent,

Brant will be involved, if OK. Am I correct that the last session was when Dave played him (drunkenly, I believe, though where he got that idea from I have no idea)?

Bruce,

Yes indeed, Brant is around and was played "in character".

"The Gelatinous Cube moves towards Brant. He can have an AoO or a Reflex Save to step aside...
Step aside? F*@k it! I bet Bruce would whack it!"

Whacked it got, Brant was slowly dissolving afterwards (as was "Brenda"), then a x-bow bolt from Gram T. Wren ended this tricky situation.

[Spaces]: The Hollow's Chronicles

[D&D 3.5]

Time:
6:30 p.m. to around 10:15 p.m.

Books
D&D 3.5 PH/DMG/MM only.
Some monster races from the MM are possible (Hobgoblin, Tiefling, etc), although I prefer the standard races.

Players
Ideally 6, 9 at most if no other game is running.

Adventure
"D1: Crown of the Kobold King"
LV2, Dungeon.
Standard D&D adventure, occasional undead only.
Golarion setting (Paizo).

Forthcoming session:
Carrying on with exploring the first level of the dungeon, two kids and a Paladin have been rescued. There are some gnashing noises coming from that door on the left hand-side of the corridor and something sounding like iron being worked in a forge straight down the same corridor.

Background:
Falcon Hollow is a frontier town, not very friendly, a collection of poor souls exploited by the greedy local representative of the Lumber Consortium. Five local children are missing, one of them the son of Gavel Thuldrin Kreed. Kreed has made an offer they could not refuse to the party to find his kid. As it turns out the Kobold Merlokrep, the self-proclaimed "Dragon King of the Truescale Tribe" needs young "pink-skins" for some ritual sacrifice. In a dungeon below an old Dwarven monastery, the adventurers are busy extricating themselves from Gelatinous cubes, swatting Stirges, crushing Skeleton skulls and arguing among themselves abut the use of a grease spell.

Setting:
The world of Golarion ("Pathfinder Chronicles") from Paizo
publishing. More precisely the Darkmoon Vale in the Republic of Andoran.

Game:
"The Hollow's Chronicles" is a regular Meetup Game designed to allow players to join or leave the game easily. The maximum number of players is set at nine. The game seems to have developed a core of four to five regulars.
