I haven't chuckled so much in a while.
![]() Oh and it's Greyhawk, not Baldur's Gate. ![]() |

The Baldurs gate slip would be my fault and not a mistake by Aramars, unless he rolled a 1 on his local knowledge!

Bruce, It's not an alignment thing per se: it's just elves should be book-learned arcance spell users. Let's be honest, sorcerers derive their real power from elemental forces, but elves are more arboreal. I bet you're one of these people who puts chocolate in your chilli. Anyway, sorry for gatecrashing your party. Bruce |

...And what pray is wrong with chilli & chocolate? When magic coarses through the veins of the caster, what does it matter the shape of the ears? Book learning? Next you will be wanting general casting (spell) examinations at key stages and levels. Len |

Bruce,
... Not really. I like the classics, beer and crisps or nuts. Red wine and chocolate. D&D and coffee. yorkshire pudding and jam. I am a man of the simple pleasures in life. I don't eat Fahl for example. Mike. |

OOC: This looks to be fun if we can keep the game alive here?
IC (first answering to the Paladin): Being a man of 'getting things done' I didn't include the mines. I've been in there and even done some work, but for a matter of weeks before I decided my talents would be better used elsewhere (still it got me the coppers I needed to be able to multiply in the coming weeks to be able to live without the aid of mine work). The time there helped me decide it was better to turn to outlaw-ary than live life as a slave. I admire the men down there who more than oft work for their family to survive so I take it as a crime to insult such people. Especially from one so lived in temple bliss. (to everyone) Meanwhile whilst you live with everything through your church, we know there is more to life than religion. I have heard tales of flying clawed women, paladins more righteous than smart, cults of evil plotting to take over the world and treasures in these here cairns. I've heard tales of harpies, found treasure in a cairn and know of at least one cult, so I am glad you have helped prove you can believe much of what you hear. Still I hope as much as you can teach me in the ways of following a good path, I can show you that the obvious path isn't neccessarily the best, for good or the party. I resent the comment that I 'fled'. My only 'fleeing' was with that of the clerics body as an enemy approached and the secondary healer seemed too busy with his eyes full of blood! I had heard tales of Heironeous but I ne'er expected to be placed so much alongside one of his followers? It could be interesting indeed. (note he hasn't used any daggers yet so no one would know of his affiliation to Wee Jas) If fleeing means saving the life of another, one can only use the phrase "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day" and wonder at the exact teaching of this church of yours. Maybe I should learn more? I never had much cause to be interested before? It seems with so many religions sending forth their counterparts, we are aligned as a group part of a gods game itself? So why not see where this leaves. At least we all seems to be along the same path, following some goodness to fight some evil. I feel myself as having some of the experience you may require to battle these forces so will ally with you all as long as it seems fit. Worry not, I will let you know if and when I leave. As for the child. If there is no magic that can aid us with the bones, or with the location of the child, or the fact whether he is alive or dead... then I feel we should seek out a better church. I collected the bones, as whomever it is should be buried. But they can wait if needed for the spells that will identify the owner. As even if it's not the child, there may be others missing a loved one. I assume with all the talk, the group is prepared for this? (TO GM: I assume I can ask if I have access to a cleric who can help with any of the spells required above. But will quietly ask - so I know - but otherwise let the rest of teh group use their more open sources of divine guidance) :) Next! |

I'm loving the in character debate going on here, really am. A sorcerer and a paladin have an out-an-out my philosophy is better than yours dabate while carting thier falen cleric back to be healed sits perfectly with how this group is going. I would join in with a lengthy rant about the virtues of co-operation, understanding and self-flaggitation, but I'm a bit flagged out still. Can't wait for the next game tho!

Have to agree with you, Joe. Really pleased with the impact the game has had on the players.
![]() Mark, you are aware of clerics in town apart from the one in your party but not of their capabilities. However, you know which are more interested in what you want to do with the bones as well...you just have to broker the relationship with them. ![]() |

I was wondering about my cult! :) If I've not got the close links yet, I need to get then IC or OOC for my character. OOC may be easier as it will be a solo attempt.
Otherwise I'd expect the cleric and paladin to have an idea about their superiors. Otherwise we've got to wonder what they do know considering their streetwise expertise is of the same expected of an orange (and a rural country dwelling orange at that). :D |
