A new game for the afternoon slot at the March meetup, run in 4th edition DnD. To sign up please reply here as well as on the calendar. Continuing the story where Len left off in the popular "Grendon of Sul" game, this is a low level game which aims to fix all the problems you* created last time. This game aims to cater to new players and veterans alike, and has no problem with drop ins, drop outs or any sort of dropping.

You've found Grendon and helped him recover his faculties (as well as his vast piles of money), but fate is not yet done with you. There are devils stomping around the basement, important things are missing and your shiny new pot is looking rather empty... could these things connected? Well, you're the ones paid to find out.

This game is set up for 3rd level characters with the standard magic item set - if you don't know what this is then that's ok, Grendon has a huge warehouse full of them and wouldn't send you out underequipped (unless you were poor, I suppose. Grendon's no fool and he didn't get where he was by giving out freebees). As I would like everything to be accessible to everyone without buying piles of books, can I ask people keep it to PHB 1 & 2 please.

(Quick edit regarding standard equipment - Weapon, armour and neck slot filled of around your level items is usual. More specifically, a level 3 character starts with:

520 gp
Magic Items: 1 [Level 2], 1 [Level 3], and 1 [Level 4] (of any type))

If you don't understand either of those paragraphs, do not panic, you are in the right place. Premade characters of several flavours will be supplied.

*Disclaimer - you may not mean you.

People would never believe I don't actually know too much to play.
I shall however be watching with great interest.

"Grendon part deux"?!?

Non seulement c'est en quatrième édition mais en plus le titre est en Français.
C'est vraiment n'importe quoi.

Je ne joue qu'en Anglais moi monsieur! cool

Actually it was a reference to http://en.wikipedia.o... , I'm sorry to say that no French was intended (or even used correctly)!

Charles,

I'm sorry to say that no French was intended (or even used correctly)!

Not to worry, one cannot say that I have been defending the use of the French language on these boards in any case.

What the post meant was mainly about things that insulted Len's age and manhood. laughing

To taunt: provoquer, narguer, insulter (in order to lead to attack, reaction, retaliation) and other verbs or expression I may have forgotten.

"Tenter" means to attempt, to try, to endeavour, things like that.

In other words, do not even try replying in French. The only one I fear on the boards is Bruce, as he may have some vague recollection about the language. He could even trick me, since Canadian French has some very peculiar expressions either laughable in "actual" French or downright puzzling and unfathomable.
