Uke Club's September JAM in Dade City

Saturday, September 1st @ Sufficient Grounds (Time: 1 p.m. to 2:30/3:00 p.m.) in beautiful historic Downtown Dade City. The coffee shop has great healthy sandwiches, homemade soups, and coffee. You might want to come a little early to try the food. Bring your uke, music stand (if you have one), and a singing voice. We can jam in unison so nobody feels self-conscious...This is for fun!

Also, please download music tabs (under "Files") for the specific date's jam and bring your "Jumpin' Jim's The Daily Ukulele Book" if you have it.  The book can be purchased at any Sam Ash Music Store or online at Amazon.com.

Gail Diederich with the "Tampa Bay Times" interviewed us for the "Pasco County Hometown News" section of the paper. We gave her a big "ukulele welcome." She has to write the story and it has to go through the editing process. I will let people know whe the story comes out!

Exactly! It's in my head! I just ordered a kazoo online. We all should have one!

Wonderful! I appreciated M.'s helpful hints on chunking strums. Loved "Runaway" with Pamela Jo's kazoo for the synthesized keyboard. That has to become a MeetUp staple. I appreciate the time Chyrisse puts in to organize something that has become a bigger focus of my interests than I would have imagined 6 months ago.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
