Concert this Friday at Garage Mahal, San Antonio

Group Organizer
Dade City, FL

It is time to WAIL at GarageMahal in beautiful downtown San Antonio, Fla. Let's begin our 5th season together FRIDAY night, November 15th at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7:00)
"Harmonious Wail takes their love of Reinhardt's Quinette du Hot Club de France and fuses it with their appreciation of other artists such as Tom Waits, The Velvet Underground and David Grisman. The result sounds like a blend of Badly Drawn Boy, Edith Piaf and Yann Tiersen's soundtrack to Amélie."The Isthmus The Daily Page
"The bouncy rhythm, the delicate music arrangement and great musicianship have made Harmonious Wail one of the few outstanding bands that combines Eastern European folk songs and American jazz music."A Gypsy swinging, torch singing, death-defying love note …
Smoldering vocals laced among the jazzy mandolin and guitar; an infectious blend of continental jazz, swing, gypsy music and melodic vocals … they are "NPR" regulars and winners of multiple MAMA awards ranging from Best Jazz CD, Best Ensemble Vocalists of the Year, Favorite Jazz Band, Best World Artist and Best Instrumentalist. Drawing from the rich influence of the European gypsy musicians, most notably Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli (creators of the gypsy swing genre), the Wail bursts through the normal boundaries of that genre. The enticing arrangements and sheer joy the Wail brings to every performance is downright addictive!

I've seen so many wonderful unknown and well-known unknown performers at Garage Mahal. Give it a try. For many of us, this is just down the road a bit, no fighting Tampa traffic.
