This is not a hike for the faint-hearted, but you will be rewarded with a spectacular view when we reach the para-glider launch pad. We are starting early to beat the heat and activity on the trail. The entire hike is naturally canopied, which also helps to moderate the temperature this time of year. The trail continues up at a moderate to steep slant for almost the entire route. Please bring water and a snack and we will all relax, enjoying the cool air and beautiful views at the pad. Unfortunately there are no para-gliders at this time of day. We will climb at a moderate pace and take several short rests during the assent. This is a great workout for your butt, legs and heart, and you will be glad you made it to the summit! Hiking boots and poles recommended, but not required.
Distance: 4 miles round-trip. Elevation Gain: 1,500ft. Rating: 4 Pace: Moderate Duration: about 2 hours
