No rain in the forecast for Wednesday so lets get out and explore Coytee Trail. Coytee is part of the popular East Lakeshore Trail System near Greenback. I haven't walked this trail before so I'm not sure what to expect. I imagine that we will go 4 or 5 miles and we will encounter some uneven terrain. The day should be warm so bring water for you and your pups.
Check out http://www.outdoorknoxville.com/places/trails/regional/east-lakeshore-trail-tellico and http://tellicowater.org/documents/MapBook_6_GlendaleCoyteeLoop.pdf for more information.
Directions: From Hwy 321 take Hwy 95 South. Turn right on Axley Chapel Road then turn right on Coytee Road to trail head on left. We will park there. If you come to Summit Hill Drive you have missed the trail head, turn around!
My name is Andy Zimmerman and I have agreed to step up to organize the Meetup group created by Diana Horenzy.
I have really enjoyed being a part of this group and all the different walk we had done lately. This group is great for socializing dogs and their owners, visiting new trails and greenways, and exercise of course.
Please feel free to offer any suggestions for new walks and other ideas of dog-friendly activities. Also let me know if you have any ideas for this group and how it is organized.
