A very good time. People really found a lot inside of this book to discuss.

OMG -- I am so so sorry I missed this, I read the book and couldn't wait for the discussion. I have been sick for a week now with fever, worse sore throat ever! I literally slept right through it. This is not like me at all. I do not bale at the last minute. Can you forgive me this time please?

Just started getting into this book & I don't want to find out how it ends, so I won't make it to this one. Started this way to late.

Here's an 11 minute interview with Ray Bradbury on Fahrenheit 451. He calls it "four five one" rather than "four fifty-one". He seems like a pretty down-to-earth guy. I'd invite him to dinner for sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL_y6gtxLvQ

I just read the book and watched those interviews. Very interesting to see the inspiration behind the work. Thanks Nancy! Look forward to meeting everyone next Tuesday!!

Between the book and youtube author interviews we've never been better informed for discussion.

Unfortunately, the 21st has turned crazy for me and I won't be able to make it. :( I should see y'all in June!

I really liked the interview. I had read some books by Bradbury as a kid, but never heard him speak. This was an interesting video that lead to other videos of Ray lecturing at colleges on writing. His lecture was less on technique and more on motivation and suggested readings for a rich personal literary life that would help a new author to become a better writer. Thanks for posting this!

Ya know, somehow, between teaching Of Mice and Men, Lord of the Flies, EAP, and Hamlet, I managed to miss this one. Can't wait to read it.

It's a super fast read, best savored with a smoky porter (although a Delirium Tremens would be just about perfect, too).

I taught it to a few English classes some years ago. Powerful work, and a great component of a dystopian lit class.

Have not read this one yet, so looking forward to this (and the beer, of course.)
