With summer right around the corner, we are going to gear up with light and healthy snack food for lounging around the pool, road trips and vacations. These recipes will be favorites like easy sandwich spreads, sweet potato fries, yogurt pops, veggie dips, and much more.
This "Gear Up For Summer" class will take place at Shar's Bosch Kitchen Center in Gilbert, and it is FREE and open to the public. Shar's is a retail store that specializes in high-quality kitchen appliances, supplies, and gadgets. They also have a full kitchen inside the store and put on cooking classes several times a week.
Please note that we will not do any cooking ourselves during the class. We will be watching as the store's new owner, Allison, and her staff members demonstrate each of the recipes. Recipe cards will be handed out, along with samples of everything that they make!
Since Shar's is a kitchen store, they will also be using and highlighting the products they sell (hence why they offer the class for free.) They offer special product discounts to class attendees, however, they are not pushy and no one is under any obligation to purchase anything. Even better, all first-time attendees receive a free loaf of homemade bread, and there usually is a drawing for a give-away item (small kitchen tool or a Shar's gift card) in each class.
The class starts at 7pm, but please try to arrive around 6:45pm to get a good seat toward the front of the demonstration area with the rest of our group. It's okay if you need to arrive a little late, but please note that you must arrive on time to be eligible for the giveaway. The class will end around 8:30pm.
You can register online for the class (not required, but highly recommended for their planning purposes) with this link:
Shar's is located on the west side of Gilbert Rd between Baseline and Guadalupe. Look for the yellow SHAR'S sign on the building.
