Competitive USCF Rated 4 SS G20/d3 Chess Tournament at Carl's Jr. "Mesa"

Location: Carl’s Jr., 1440 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ 85202 

Easy freeway access from Route 60, take exit 178 if coming from the west, or exit 179, 

if coming from the east, then go north ¼ mile on Alma School Rd to Southern Ave, turn left onto Southern Ave and go west ¼ mile, turn right into Carl’s Jr. between McDonald’s and Pancho’s Mexican Food restaurant 


Sections: Open section: Four-round Swiss, Game in 20 minutes. (4SS, G/20;d3) 

Chess sets and boards will be provided. Please bring your own clocks. 


Registration: 5:30-6:25 pm at the site only. USCF membership is required. New or renewing members are welcome. You may renew or sign up on site. Your official Quick rating will be used for Swiss pairing purposes. You may also join online at the USCF website at the following link. JOIN USCHESS


Schedule: 4 Round Swiss tournament: 6:30 pm, 7:15 pm, 8:00 pm, 8:45 pm. Time control: G/20;d3 Byes: ••• point byes are available for the first two rounds only. Digital clocks are preferred that have a delay. For G/20, the digital clocks should be set to 20 minutes with a 3 second delay. If your clock does not a delay capability, it may be replaced by a digital clock that does. 

Entry Fees: $2 cash at site. First time players play for free! 


Prizes: 1st - $8, 2nd - $5, 1st U1600 - $3 based on 10 entries. $2 for a perfect score guaranteed! All the prizes will be paid proportionately, if there are more or less than 10 paid entrants.
