Track Workout at Gilbert High School

We will begin the workout, at 5AM, with about a 1 mile warmup followed by strides and then the weekly speed work.  After the speed portion we do a 1 - 2 mile cool down.  You ccan cater the workout to your specific needs or join in the group workout for that week.  Lead the pack, run the track!

    The suggested workout for this week is 5 X 1000m with a warm up and cool down. As always you can tailor the workout to whatever your specific training or workout needs are.

    Running Drills
    2 x 25-sec strides
    2,000 meters at 1/2 marathon pace
    2 min RI
    1,600 meters @ 10k pace
    2 min RI
    1,000 meters @ 5k pace
    2 min RI
    800 meters at 2 mile pace
    1 mile warm-down
