Welcome to East York Toronto Runners! We are a fun, social group of athletes who enjoy training and racing together.
We regularly meet on Saturday mornings and encourage members to post their own runs at other times if they’re looking for company. Most of our members are experienced runners, but we have a variety of levels of pace and distance. We welcome new runners, but have found those who are able to run 5km or more have the most positive experiences with our group.
Keep in mind that each member has his/her own goals, training schedule and reasons for running. The group will often split up during the course of a run according to these goals and schedules. We hope that all members will be able to find someone to run with, but sometimes, people do end up running on their own. We don't believe in pushing people to hit paces or distances that they aren't ready for. There is no pressure to keep up with (or slow down for) anyone else. This Meetup is meant to provide a time and place to run that will motivate people to get out the door and onto the road. Work at your own level.
A few notes about our Meetups: We give a 5-minute grace period for latecomers before we begin our runs, so please be on time if you don’t want to miss us. We generally meet at the end of the run for a coffee and chat.
Feel free to contact any of our organizers if you have questions. Unsolicited/inappropriate/abusive messages to the group or individual members will not be tolerated. You will be removed from the group and reported to meetup.com.
