Have you attached a photo of yourself? We are a very social group and appreciate openness. We do not accept members with photos other than themselves. You can use a false name if you're concerned about security.

Describe your theater experience or involvement, or why you are joining the group.

Community & college plays as recently as '91. "Exit the King" by Ionesco (the King), "The Matchmaker" by Wilder (Malachi), "Born Yesterday" by Kanin (Ed Devery), "Blithe Spirit" by Noel Coward (Charles, two different productions), a few other shows.

If you have ever read before, please describe the experience, and what you like about public reading.

Have read with friends at parties and it's the best. I like trying on a new character, a new alter ego, stretching (within reason!), grasping the meaning of the dialogue, which can be challenging at times. We sometimes like to show off a bit too, no?

What do you want most to get out of this meetup group? Please understand the more you put in, the more you'll get out. We ask that members read the plays in advance and study their assigned parts in advance (don't worry, no memorization required!).

Fun, intelligent company, and perhaps a warm-up for trying out for a play again in the near future. It's been too long!

What other interests do you have socially or professionally that tell us something about you?

Outdoorsy (above photo is from recent backpack trip) and am pretty well read, with an accent on classic literature of the 19th and 20th centuries, science and nature, astronomy, anthro, history. Shallow-side interests include Hollywood action flicks.

In fourth grade I got the lead part in a comedy spoof of "Sleeping Beauty." Hamming it up I threw in an unrehearsed pratfall and made the audience gasp. Luckily they realized it wasn't real and started laughing. At that point I knew I loved acting.
