Hometown: San Leandro
April 21, 2012
I am a "team player". I live in San Leandro and work full-time as elementary school teacher, but would like to be around adults more often in light-hearted activities, such as this. I am not afraid to try new things.
I do Reader's Theatre with my students and have a Masters in Reading and Language Arts, as well as a Reading Specialist certificate. I go to plays frequently, though I have not been involved directly as an actor.
I belonged to a play reading group for almost 4 years until it disbanded. I am a Reading Teacher and work with young students daily on building their reading skills and expressing themselves through oral reading. Public reading gives me (and other people) a chance to be more expressive, without putting forth alot of time for preparation.
Light-hearted entertainment and getting to know new people. Get out more socially, I tend to be a homebody.
I like to cook and would help out on the food, if needed. I believe that I have already answered most of this question in the above places.
I would love to come back again!
The meetup is full that is why you can not add your friend. Sorry but there is nothing I can do space is limited.
Hey Karen, great, happy to have you join us! Feel free to suggest a meetup if there's something in particular you'd like to do. See you around the group !
Welcome! I hope to meet you soon.
Yes, feel free to bring other instruments. We usually have a base player and a few guitarists, occasionally a drum.
Hi Karen, We'd love to have you at Instant Chorus. The fee of $20 at each 2-hour Instant Chorus pays for scores, room rental, name tags, a professional choir director. You pay $16 if you pay at Freight & Salvage Box Office in person by 24 hours before the event. There are also scholarships. In Jul, we'll offer sliding scale because we'll meet at a home instead of the Freight. Let me know ASAP if you need a scholarship. [masked]
