I acted in plays in high school. I haven't done much since then that I can remember. My family members in Cleveland are involved in play reading groups and hearing about them made me jealous that I can't be there to do it with them. It was wonderful to find this group.
I practice lines with my daughter when she is in a play, and sometimes suggest the ways to say her lines. In my family, when we get together, we occasionally create a song or poem that we read aloud in front of a group of people (usually at a celebratory gathering.) I also love to speak in front of groups. When I worked a corporate job, I was always more than willing to give a class or presentation in front of clients.
Read plays (performing) and getting to know other people. I've thought about getting into a community theater group, but the time commitment of weeks of rehearsals seems a bit too much.
I had my own business as a Financial Counselor, helping people to get control of their finances, but because I am now raising 3 grandchildren by myself (possibly permanently), I have very little time to do much else. I attend water aerobics classes regularly and sometimes swim laps. I love to ski but time is an issue.
I live in San Ramon. I love to act, and this is the perfect outlet. I used to work in Alameda.
This is a really well run group, and exactly what I was looking for. I will come back whenever I can!
