Hi, Charlie. Thanks for the clarification. In that case, as long as everyone orders something, even if it's just a drink, then the owner should be satisfied. :-)

I don't think everyday has to order a full dinner. At my regular "Rendez-vous fran├žais" meetings in the evenings at Au Coquelet, generally a few people order dinner and the table as a whole orders one or two carafes of wine, and the restaurant seems to be fine with that. I often just have coffee; sometimes a plate of fries or a muffin.

Hi, everyone. :-)

Regarding my suggestion for this week's book discussion meeting (Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier) to be held at Au Coquelet Cafe, it appears that there are no firm objections to this temporary meeting location. With that, I have just made a reservation for 30 people in the back room of this restaurant. The owner is fine with a book club meeting with dinner, provided that all attendees order food. In addition, as the East Bay Book Club's fund is running low at this point (following the Ethiopian dinner), all attendees are expected to cover their own meal expenses. The address for the meeting location is on the announcement page, which I've updated.

I will see you all there. :-)

Regards,
Anthony Lee
