First contemporary and classic books for 2012

Hi, everyone. :-)

I'm sure you're all excited about the books that we'll be reading for 2012. Well, I have now tallied all of the book votes I've received. Although it will take some time for me to formally put together the 2012 reading schedule for the East Bay Book Club, I can at least tell you which contemporary and classic book received the most votes and are, therefore, first in their respective categories to be read for 2012. With that...

The January 2012 Contemporary Book Discussion will be on the science-fiction novel Pattern Recognition by William Gibson.

The April 2012 Classic Book Discussion will be on the novel A Death in the Family by James Agee.

The dates of these two book meetings will be announced shortly. Hopefully, I'll post the official meeting announcements tomorrow. For now, you now know which contemporary book to get right away in preparation for the first East Bay Book Club meeting of 2012.

Otherwise, thank you all for making 2011 another great year for the East Bay Book Club. Have a nice holiday, and I'll see you in the new year. :-)
