Hi, I'm Sue. I'm organizing this group for my teacher Rey, who is always looking for students willing to take the time and effort to train in the martial arts he knows and to learn new ones with him. Hope to see you in class soon!
What martial arts have you done, if any?
I've trained in tae kwon do, bok fu kempo, taiji/qigong/xingyi, and aikido. The taiji and aikido probably stuck with me most. When the recession hit I couldn't afford to train in aikido any longer. Rey, my current teacher, had been offering free martial arts classes where we worked for a long time, and finally I took him up on the offer. I had no idea what he was teaching! But I loved it; the art was both elegant and primal. I also liked how friendly and informal the training atmosphere was, without losing any of the intensity that you should expect from martial arts and self defense training.
What types of exercise do you enjoy?
Cycling, rollerblading, martial arts, hiking, skiing, weight lifting, rowing, kayaking, horseback riding, birding. NO jogging! Ouch my knees!
Are you interested in meeting with people outside of class to practice?
Yes, I want to have some nearby people to practice sinawali with on an ad-hod basis!

Thanks for the invite and info! Ive met GM Pallen several times. He's a nice guy! Im hoping to find something close to home. Heck there are a ton of Pinoys in Milpitas, Im sure to find a group sooner or later! ;)
