This group is for those who want to get into running, or are trying to get back into the ol' routine.
Goal of this Meetup is not to compete; rather, it is to have fun as well as socializing while running (in groups or pairs) and to improve ones cardiovascular fitness. Our running get together will concentrate on increasing our running distance, and not increasing ones speed (although that may be a positive side affect of our regular runs). For the time being, runs will be scheduled during weekdays, after office hours (around 5:30pm to 6:30pm).
Disclaimer: Anyone with serious medical conditions such as history of heart problems must exercise under the direct supervision of his/her physician. Attendees to this Meetup must be at a somewhat healthy level, and be able to run at the most a 8-12 minute mile (if you can run faster than 8 minutes-more power to ya and give us pointers!!).
We will meet at the pillars (see picture), stretch, then start the run/jogg. The pillars are located at the corner of Lake Shore and El Embarcadero, across the street from the Lakeview Library.
