East Bay SMUG: Creating Award Winning Images w Chung Li
Having received a total of 17 awards in the WPPI photo competition in the past year , including fourteen Accolade Of Excellence, two 2nd place and one 3rd place in Wedding Details, Bride Alone, Bride and Groom Together , Engagement and Individual Portrait Category, Chung Li will share his knowledge in the entire shooting, editing and printing process. Unable to make this meet-up, but I must go on record as a pro that I find it slightly upsetting going to Mr. Li's site and hearing what is likely an unlicensed version of Shania Twain's song, "From this Moment". I find it negatively impacts my opinion when I see creatives not being respectful of the IP rights of other creatives. I assume Mr. Li would be upset if a bride magazine used a bunch of his images w/o his permission.
Li has lots of great pics, tho. Obviously a very talented shooter.

Great workshop by Mr. Li. Discovered some small details but very important when using Lightroom. Well expressed about highlights and shadow, creativeness and showcasting your work. I'm really glad I was there! Thanks Chung!

I found the session very informative and practical. It's a rare opportunity to see how award winning portraits were actually created by the artist. The session was void of theory and full of practical real-life advice that has proven itself in Chung's business. I was glad to have made the 3 hour round-trip commute.

In this series of fantastic monthly events, this was a standout. Mr. Li was very engaging and his sense of humor was very welcome. The technical information about his shoots and his post-shoot processing was GREAT, and the examples he used easily made clear the points he was making for the audience. He may have sold me on Lightroom!

AnneI found the meeting to be quite informative and I loved the photos that Chung Li presented. They were simply outstanding. I think with a little work Chung Li would have an excellent presentation. I would like to suggest that Mr. Li consider using photo examples to add punch to his bullet points. I also don't feel that he needs to waste time telling us what he is going to tell us and then proceed to tell us this stuff. Seems redundant. I would be happy to attend a MeetUp with Chung Li doing a presentation just on Lightroom. Thanks for the good work!
