Introduction

Always into hiking, but have a hard time finding others that like to do the same. I picked up a renewed urge for backpacking this year and have been out a couple of times, but would love to find more people to do this with.

Do you have any hiking preferences such as easy, short, long, difficult, etc ?

Everything.

Do you prefer "car camping" (as in camping in a campground near your car, ie state parks) or backpacking? Or Both? Or maybe neither?

both have their own draw. However, I really like backpacking. I also have a kayak and canoe and have done camping trips where you could only reach by boat too.

What is your favorite place to go hiking (it's doesn't have to be local :)?

Yosemite has been my favorite to date. I've been in the Hoover Wilderness on the eastern side of Yosemite and spent a couple of days backpacking in the Hetch Hetchy area of Yosemite. The Appalachian trail is always a challenge and a blast.
