EVK is "One of a Kind"
EVK was created for people who like Country and/or Swing dancing, and for those who want to discover the joy of it. In just a few months, we have grown to almost 200 members while maintaining a 5-star rating. Obviously, something special is happening here.
We embrace dancers of all skill levels, from "brand new" to "advanced". We have established a culture that is warm and inviting and where everyone helps everyone out no matter what their skill level.
We strive for "excellence in all we do". That is part of what makes EVK special.
EVK meetups include:
- Group Dance lessons: We have group lesson series that typically span a 4-week period. By the end of the series, you not only know the particular dance step being taught, but you also have gotten to know the people in your group.
- Individual or Couples Dance Lessons: Special lessons for individuals or couples can also be arranged with our instructors. See below for the list of dance styles that you can learn.
- "Friday Night Out": These are usually held at local dance venues that have DJ music.
- "Saturday Night Live": These are usually held at local dance venues that have live bands.
- "Dinner & Dancing": Some of the venues where we hold meetups also have good restaurants (e.g. Handlebar J's and Harold's). So these make for a very fun night out.
- "Country Rain™": This is our premiere event! It is more than a dance event; it is an "evening out". Each one has a unique theme; separate lessons for beginners and intermediates followed by an open dance. Special surprises sprinkled throughout the evening (e.g. raffles, dance mixers, etc.). There's always something new to keep every event fresh and exciting.
- Concerts: Brooks & Dunn, etc.
