East Valley Wine Group Pages

Why should you join this group when you have so many other choices of places to go and things to do?

I'll tell you why! With our group you will have more fun, enjoy more fabulous wine and other libations, eat great food, meet more awesome people, and all in all have better stories to tell.

We meet from 1 to 3 times a month (the usual being 2) to taste new wines or other drinks which will generally be accompanied by diverse and delicious food. Event types vary between public tastings, wine and food dinners in different establishments and gatherings at member's homes.
We're always open to suggestions about what and where; because after all, it's all about you baby! (well almost, some days it's all about me)

Besides all that, we're an interesting and charming bunch, you'll be pleased you're hanging out with us. Oh, and the intimidation factor is nil, because the wine experience of our members ranges dramatically from almost none to extremely knowledgeable, so don't be shy about joining.

Yes there are a few ground rules, so all of us (including me) can have the best possible experience with our meetup group.

  • Please ONLY RSVP "yes" for events if you are sure you can attend. A "yes" RSVP should be considered as important as any other commitment you would make. It is inconsiderate to the group and the venue if you say you will be there and then you are not. Whether we meet at an outside location, or at someone's home, a significant amount of planning has gone into each event and the number of people is a key component of that plan. Even if your plans change last minute and you can't make it, at least change your RSVP to let us know.
*I feel very strongly about this therefore members who no-show without letting me know the reason 2 times are subject to removal.

  • Get involved! Stay active on the site, attend events, fill out the survey after an event, check the message boards, write in, answer the polls, you get the idea! If you have been a member for 6 months and you have never attended an event or communicated with us in any way we will consider that you've changed your mind about us and you will probably be removed from the group.

  • We want to get to know you better, so help us out with that and insert a picture and fill out your profile. (What's the point of joining a group if you are going to be invisible?) In addition to your first name, I will need you to provide us with your last name or at least an initial. This is simply so I can accurately keep track of the membership roster, including RSVP's and event payments. The last name rule is mandatory but if for some reason it poses a problem for you or your personal security, contact us, and we will be happy to work something out.

  • As the organizer of this group, I do value and want to hear your opinion, but when all is said and done and the final decisions must be made; if I have determined that your words or actions are disruptive or disrespectful to me or the group, I reserve the right to remove you.

This group is for you if: you're ready to experience great wine and sometimes other spirits, food, and nice people. With the East Valley Wine group, you'll conveniently find all these ingredients for fun at each event.

This group is not for you if: you have any kind of business, political or romantic agenda.

Thanks for checking us out, we want to meet you, so join already!

P.S. Get your friends and co-workers to join! They'll think you're cool because you invited them to join such an awesome group.
