Announcing a new Meetup for The Chandler/Gilbert Wine Meetup Group!

What: Casual Night at Heidi and Steve's

When: Saturday, May 29,[masked]:00 PM

Where:
Heidi & Steve's
Ray & Recker
Gilbert, AZ 85295

What is Casual Night?
Casual nights are casual wine tastings. We get together at someone's house to enjoy wine, food, each other's company and wine knowledge.

Who should come?
Do you love wine? Do you like wine? Do you want to taste different wines? Then you should come to Casual Night.

This month
You are all invited to our house (Heidi and Steves) for our May Casual Night on Saturday, May 29th, beginning at 7:00. The cross streets are Ray and Recker in Gilbert.

Theme
The theme is white wines for summer. Since its getting warmer, many people drink more white wines because they are chilled and refreshing in the heat. As for the food, think of lighter salads and side dishes that complement chilled white wines. (If you are not a white wine drinker, please come anyway; just see what you can find in a lighter red.)

What to bring food and wine
You are asked to bring one or two bottles of wine and dish to share that go along with the theme of the event. (Think $10, $15 or $20 a bottle.)

Ideally, bring food and wine that matches the theme unless it's just not something you like, in which case bring whatever you want. If you dont cook, dont worry. Try the prepared food section of your favorite gourmet grocer or restaurant. And if you post what you are bringing, that helps others to plan so we have less duplication of foods. Serving utensils are also very helpful to bring with your dish.

RSVP and directions
As a courtesy to the hosts, please respond to the invitation no later than Thursday evening before the event. Only those who respond Yes or Maybe by Thursday night will be sent the address on Friday (for security reasons). If you haven't received directions by Friday late evening, please email Tana or me. (These emails are blocked sometimes, so check your spam box first, too.)

You are always welcome to bring a guest to an event. We just ask that you include that person in your RSVP, just add the correct number of guests and click Update RSVP. The Meetup system totals members and their guests automatically when giving an expected attendance.

If your plans change, please do me a favor and change your RSVP because it makes it much easier for the host to plan the event. Just go back into the event and your current response shows on the top right of the page. Just click your new response and submit. Thanks!

Wine and Drive
These dont mix, obviously. Each person attending these events is responsible for his/her own safety and sobriety. The host is in no way liable for anything that might occur at the event or afterward, including driving home. You are responsible to designate a drive for every event.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Heidi W.
