Announcing a new Meetup for The Chandler/Gilbert Wine Meetup Group!

What: September Wine Tasting at il Vinaio

When: September 30,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $28.00 per person

Il Vinaio
270 W. Main St..
Mesa, AZ 85201

For September we are going to the newly remodeled il Vinaio - an American Wine Bistro that is casual yet elegant, featuring dinners specifically created by their Executive Chef to pair exceptionally well with their boutique wine list and micro-brews.
Here are the wine selections with their taster pairings, which have been created just for our event by Chef Patrick:

*Angeline 2006 Gewurtztraminer, Mendocino
a dry Gewurtztraminer with flavors of lemon, green grass, minerals and granny smith apples
~Paired with ? Seared Tuna with Red Pepper Chimi Churri
*Curran 2007 Grenache Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley, CA (there really is a Grenache Blanc grape!)
very solid fruit with pear and peach, lemon-lime on the mid-palate and a crisp finish
~Paired with ? Mussels with green chiles
*Vinum Cellars Reserve 2006 Petit Syrah, Oakville
~Paired with ? Braised Chicken with tomato and olives
*Viniterra Select 2006 Carmenere, Argentina
big black cherry, dried fruit, blueberry, licorice and a dry, oaky finish
~Paired with ? Slow roasted Pork with BBQ mustard
*Lolonis Estate 2006 Zinfandel, Redwood Valley
Dry, with lots of berry jam flavors, raisins, cigar and redwood
~Paired with ? Simmered Beef Short ribs with caramelized onions

This is going to be great! See you there.
