Fun with WooCommerce

Since its release, WooCommerce has become one of the most popular WordPress e-commerce plugins. You can do quite a bit with the free base plugin, and much more with the various add-ons, but it's complex to set up and tough to hook into (the published API is all about layout, not function).

Come to the meetup for a demo of how to set up WooCommerce on your site, including some of the additional features, like shipping calculation, subscriptions, gift certificates, and configurable products.

Those with enough experience of different shopping carts might like to contrast their experiences with WooCommerce and other plugins.

Good crowd, good questions, and plenty of curiosity about what, if anything, can be done to make e-commerce easier.

Does anyone want to do some compare / contrast between Woo and other shopping carts?

Woo is the only one I've worked with recently, and there are a number of features to cover. But I think if people have things to chip in about other shopping carts, it will be good to hear them.

Set up two sites so far with WooCommerce and like some things, but miss others from other carts. I hope to learn a thing or two about Woo!
