CSS Pre-Processors + WordPress

There are a lot of questions out there on how one might use a CSS pre-processor in their next WordPress project. What are CSS pre-processors? How would I get started? Does my web host have to support it? All good questions, this session will answer your questions.

CSS pre-processors can help improve your development and deployment workflow quite a bit. It's amazing how much more organized your CSS code can be as well.

We can take an existing WordPress theme's CSS file and migrate it to SASS. Or we could create a basic layout from scratch.

Um, the Tech Liminal e-newsletter stated the time as 3pm-7pm; is that true???

I think you might be mistaking it for (or maybe they did) the contribute-a-patch meeting. This one is 1-3 PM as always.

Oops, I didn't notice that slip-up on our newsletter. The meetup group will always have the accurate time.

Curious how preprocessors would work with child themes. Also curious about how preprocessors impact debugging workflow. Specifically, how to go from id'ing offending css code in Chrome developer tools or Firebug then folowing back to preprocessor code.

      Good point. We'll cover that.

And we'll have a sponsor video from PHPStorm, which will give you some more information about IDEs. (If it doesn't cover LESS and SASS, ask Stefan.)
