I'm a web designer and have been working with Wordpress pretty much exclusively for a couple of years now. I've enjoyed being part of these meetups and really appreciate having this support community.
I thought it was great. I was surprised to see how large a proportion of newbies there were in attendance. For a networking standpoint that's great, because even as a relative newcomer to WP, I already have the skills to be of help to a lot of people there, but in terms of getting help myself, I'd like to have seen more programmers attending. There were only a couple of people there who could answer my questions and I didn't want to dominate the airwaves if my questions weren't helpful to others as well. I assume it's different each time? Or are there other meet-ups where the more experienced people tend to congregate?
Long time no see, no hear... Thrilled by connecting with you and other old friends, new friends, and unknown friends, on this leg of our fascinating learning journey...
Welcome to AFAR. I hope to see you at our next event at book passage!
