I've maintained three different sites that were hosted by DH. I got so fed up with them continually screwing things up and not telling me what was going on and/or being as difficult as they possibly could to resolve an issue that I moved all of them to a different host. $9.00 to call tech support? Wow. Yeah that's really a way to keep your customers happy.
Something you might also try to get this resolved is to post a note on their feedback page about the problems you are having. One time I left a particularly unpleasant note. Funny how they replied back almost immediately. *s*
