Our Meetup brings together individuals who are interested in Permaculture and self sustainability not only individually, but as a community. Everyone has an important role to play and we all can do this by re skilling one another and help encourage more people within our communities to become apart of a solution for environmental, economic or social change.
Permaculture is a holistic approach to existence that derives solutions and patterns through observing nature. These observations give way to ecological design principles and methods that allow for maximizing benefits through relationships. When applied to any human settlement, Permaculture allows for abundant, resilient, and diverse ecosystems. These ecosystems have the ability to remain balanced while producing yields of food, medicine, fiber, and building materials.
We offer; skill shares, site walks and garden tours, Applied Permaculture Course Intensives, movie nights, potlucks, and book discussions. If you would like to organize a skill share or other community event through Eastern Cumberland County Permaculture Meetup, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
