Great blue herons are nesting in Marymoor park in Redmond near dog park as well. I think, I was also able to take a shot, although heron in flight.

Hi all,
I was able to get out and shoot at Mercer Slough in Bellevue earlier this week. It was a wonderfully relaxing occasion and the Herons, though over 100' away were quite cooperative. Here is one shot using my long lens. I encourage you to spend time there even if you aren't taking pictures. Perhaps I can give a seminar on shooting and processing techniques for wildlife in the future.
