Eastside Games with Friends Weekly Meetup

Welcome to our weekly playgroup!

We are a fun group of people who enjoy getting together to act foolish, make jokes, talk trash, laugh, and play games. Because of the spontaneous nature of our group, we usually show up not knowing what we're going to play. Some days we end up playing just "our faves". The truth is that we'll play any game if someone brings it and convinces us we want to learn how to play it. It's not about what types of games we play, it's that we play games.

We have games starting at various times until 8 with people arriving at various intervals as well. (We are usually able to stay until 9:30 to finish games.)  There really isn't any reason that you can't get into a game no matter when you arrive.

Bonus Round at Denny's!

"Party on" til the "wee hours" of the morning! We have the back room from 8:30pm-ish, but really 9pm. We've been promised our own server - and she's "like totally awesome!" - we love her! (until we're settled, thanks to Manager Dave)

Micheal tought some of us a new horse racing game this might called Homestretch - which I did like somewhat, but I continue to like Winner's Circle better. I did a lot of "hanging out clickin' pix" before and after this game. Inbetween my non-gaming shenanigans, I played the official 50th game of Can't Stop! with Pete and Jaimee=winner! I thne pseu-helped Jeff with his Can't Stop game ;) Then it was the ultimate besstest game of Union Pacific ev-ah! It was kiiiindof Pete and I versus Rob. And because one of the payout cards came out before Pete could put down a yellow card, it was Rob's game to win... oh siiiiigh *gregorious laughter* Final scorse: Rob 161, Pete 131, Jenn 128. We "maxed out" Green trains, Sky Blue trains, and came one away from this with the Brown line.

You're right, you have played it a "million" times, but you haven't played it in the bonus round until now. (remember? Those two lists are separate, per your rules)

Good times once again. Thanks to all for coming. My damage was a game of four-player cribbage, Notre Dame, the playing of Can't Stop for the 50th day (or 51st, depending on timings and opinions), and then over at Denny's... it was Union Pacific... losing for the 87th consecutive time... hahaha! That's OK, it was still good times. :)

That was the most funnestestest game of Union Pacific ev-ah!!!! It is unfortunate that our "gand up on Rob" method was an "utter FAIL!" but it was a fun try ;)

Michael is bringing two new games, both of which I will be learning - and anyone may join us! ;) Also, I'd like to learn Masons (Patrick's new "objective based game). Sounds like a "full evening" of new games for me - yay! :D

I will be bringing two new games in my collection to the table this week(both of which have been previously played): Oddville, which Michael also has, and Masons, which is objective based. (which I think Jenn and Rob would enjoy.) Both of these take about an hour to play give or take.
