Eastside Games with Friends Weekly Meetup

Welcome to our weekly playgroup!

We are a fun group of people who enjoy getting together to act foolish, make jokes, talk trash, laugh, and play games. Because of the spontaneous nature of our group, we usually show up not knowing what we're going to play. Some days we end up playing just "our faves". The truth is that we'll play any game if someone brings it and convinces us we want to learn how to play it. It's not about what types of games we play, it's that we play games.

We have games starting at various times until 8 with people arriving at various intervals as well. (We are usually able to stay until 9:30 to finish games.)  There really isn't any reason that you can't get into a game no matter when you arrive.

Bonus Round at Denny's!

"Party on" til the "wee hours" of the morning! We have the back room from 8:30pm-ish, but really 9pm. We've been promised our own server - and she's "like totally awesome!" - we love her! (until we're settled, thanks to Manager Dave)

Started off the evening with a rousing game of Union Pacific. I started out, as usual, dead last after an early first dividend, leaving me with a single share of Royal Blue and a whopping $2M. But I was able to muscle in on Jenn's Red, and I owned White the rest of the game, working it to the last train; I finally managed to sneak in as the second shareholder in Green to win by $1M. Subsequently, we had a quick game of Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries; as is traditional, I got clobbered, though I might have made a good showing if I had been able to get a black train card anytime in the last half of the game. At Panera, we had a delightful round of 6-player Rage. We got so much good rage flying around that *Jenn actually ran out of rage*--a monumental first. I won by a single point after inadvertently taking both tricks in the penultimate hand. My luck ran out at that point, alas: in Can't Stop I claimed the 8 with my first runner, and then rolled four 4s for a single-runner QAT BARPH.

This is the night we all got to meet Paul's servive dor in training, Tomy - beautifu doggerie! This was also the night that I "feld the scene" to help a friend in need - sorry to have caused any concern to anyone, it wasn't a thing that I could wait on... Before my flee I played in a 5 person game of Union Pacific with Pete's scoreboard of awesomeness!!!

Things were a little discombobulated at Denny's... ended up playing a silly six person game of Rage! in which I was being "totally hated by the game" and so I "totally hated upon" Jeff (mostly) then Rob a little. This was followd by games of Can't Stop and Monster Factory.

Here is the list of games played last night... http://www.meetup.com/Eastside-Games-with-Friends/messages/boards/thread/15091541/160/#[masked] but I'm 99% sure that this list is VERY incomplete, especially when it comes to Panera Bread games, so if you can help me complete this list, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

That is partially my fault because I had tuo leave for over an hour to help a friend.... I _barely_ made it ack in time to retrieve my games from Panera. I took only 16 pix _all_ evening...
