Eastside Games with Friends Weekly Meetup

Welcome to our weekly playgroup!

When it's warm outside Panera is a freezer inside - so please come equipped with a sweater!!! It'll make you feel Better!!!

We are a fun group of people who enjoy getting together to act foolish, make jokes, talk trash, laugh, and play games. Because of the spontaneous nature of our group, we usually show up not knowing what we're going to play. Some days we end up playing just "our faves". The truth is that we'll play any game if someone brings it and convinces us we want to learn how to play it. It's not about what types of games we play, it's that we play games.

We have games starting at various times until 8 with people arriving at various intervals as well. (We are usually able to stay until 9:30 to finish games.)  There really isn't any reason that you can't get into a game no matter when you arrive.

We play American and European games including: Network-building games, Card-based games, Bluffing games, Turn-based Resources games, Board games, Party games, Trivia games, Fantasy card games, Path-making games, Word games, Q&A games, Cooperative games, and Pure Strategy games.  We've played over 160 different games since August 2009!

Click here to see a list of all the games we've played.

I began my evening of gaming playing Basari -oooh shiiineeey chippies!- with Michael, Rick, and notDave, and I did really well with the game on this second attempt :) I then turned 'round to the table behind me to play Railways of England and Wales with Rob, Pete, and a newbie. I actually did very well this time. I ended the game with 28 mega chip points and only four bonds!! Woo! Hoo! I actually figured the darn thing out on this my 4th play of the Railways Series and my 3rd version of board. I ended my evening of gaming playing Psyche-Paths with Rob.
